Targeting
N-Way ads are contextual: they go to people near your building or on their way past it, at the times you choose. Nobody is profiled, and no trip history is shared.
Reach
Choose how far from your building people can see your billboard: 250 m, 500 m or 1 km. People on a trip whose route passes your building within the next 1.5 km can see it too, before they reach the circle. A larger reach costs more: see Pricing.
When and who
Everything here is optional. Leave it empty and your ad can show all day, every day, to everyone nearby.
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
| Times of day (Nigerian time) | Morning 6–10 am, Midday 10 am–1 pm, Afternoon 1–5 pm, Evening 5–9 pm, Night 9 pm–6 am |
| Days of the week | Any of Sunday to Saturday |
| How people travel | Driving, Okada, Walking |
| Only people heading toward my building | Skips people whose route has your building behind them |
| Not people who already visited today | Skips phones that already arrived at your building today |
Frequency limits
You can lower how often one person sees your ad. These are the most allowed, and the default:
| Limit | Most |
|---|---|
| Your ad, per person, per day | 2 |
| Your ad, per person, per week | 6 |
| Your ad, per person, in all | 15 |
N-Way also limits ads for everyone: at most one ad every 10 minutes, 4 an hour and 12 a day per person, at most 3 a day from one business, and never two ads of the same kind of business within 30 minutes.
No competitor ads on the way to you. Someone navigating to a restaurant never sees another restaurant’s ad on that trip. The same protects you.
Goals
| Goal | What we do |
|---|---|
| Be seen | Show your ad to as many people as possible. |
| Visits | Show it more where people are likely to come to you. |
| Sales | Show it more where people are likely to buy. Tell us about sales with offer codes or the Conversions API. |
How we choose which ad shows
When several ads could show at a spot, each gets a score and the highest wins:
score = what you paid per view × how likely your goal is here × how people like the ad × pacing × how close it is
- How likely your goal is here. For visit and sales goals: how much likelier than usual people in this situation (time of day, how they travel, where their trip is going, distance to you) are to visit or buy, learned from your results and similar businesses. For “Be seen” this counts as 1.
- How people like it. Watching to the end, saving and routing there raise it; closing the ad lowers it. New ads start fair.
- Pacing. A campaign behind its daily share is shown a little more, one ahead a little less.
- Closeness. A building just ahead on someone’s route counts more than one further away or behind.
Privacy
Ads are chosen from context: where the phone is, where its route goes, the time and how the person travels. N-Way never sells or shares where people go, and ads never get trip history.
- Phones are counted by an anonymous code that changes every month, never by name or number.
- With “Ads based on your interests” (on unless the person turns it off in Preferences), the phone keeps its own count of the kinds of places it goes to, and sends at most three broad categories (such as food or fuel) with a request, sometimes swapped at random. The counts and places never leave the phone.
- Reports show totals only and hide any group smaller than five people.
