Creative specs

Add one to three photos, GIFs or videos. We convert them for every phone, and make a still poster of each one for people who are moving.

Files

TypeUploadWhat we make of it
PhotoJPG, PNG or WebPA JPEG up to 1280 px wide, which is also its poster. Shown for 3 to 30 seconds (you choose; 10 by default).
GIFGIF, up to 30 secondsA video, like the row below.
VideoMP4, MOV, WebM or M4V, up to 30 secondsAn H.264 MP4 at up to 720p and 30 frames a second, with its sound (AAC), plus a JPEG poster from half a second in.
  • Up to 50 MB per file.
  • Up to 3 creatives per campaign. Each gets equal turns until it has 50 views; after that, more of the views go to the one people watch to the end and save most.
  • Videos and GIFs over 30 seconds are refused. The longest one sets your ad’s length, and so its price.
Warning:

Drivers see the poster. Anyone moving faster than 10 km/h sees only the still frame from half a second into your video. Make that frame work on its own: your name, what you sell and your building, readable at a glance.

Tips for the road

  • One message. People glance at a billboard; they don’t read it. One product, one offer.
  • Big and high-contrast. Text should be readable on a small phone in sunlight.
  • Show the place. A photo of your front helps people recognise it when they arrive.
  • Work without sound. Videos start muted.
  • Try more than one. With two or three creatives, delivery moves to the one that works best.
