Home codes

Get your home code in the N‑Ways app

Every compound in The Gambia has a home code beside its Plus Code. Open N-Ways, tap Get my code and share both in one tap, so taxis, couriers and visitors find your gate.

F8HC+9G6 Bakau the official address: the government’s Plus Code, always shown first

Your home now has a code you can say. Every compound in The Gambia, in Banjul and in the smallest village, has a home code beside its Plus Code: the name of your town or village and a short number that takes a taxi, a courier or a visitor straight to your gate.

Get it in three taps

  1. Open N-Ways at home. On your phone, at map.nways.ng or in the app.
  2. Tap Get my code. The app finds the compound you are in and shows its home code, like Bakau 2389, and its Plus Code.
  3. Share it. One tap sends both on WhatsApp or by text, with a link that opens the map at your gate.

Keep your Plus Code

Your Plus Code is still your official address, and N-Ways always shows it first. The home code is the easy one to say: give whichever suits the person asking. Both lead to the same gate.

Not at home right now?

Find your compound on the map and tap it, or drop a pin on it. The code is the same.

Help make it right

Every code starts provisional. When you open yours, tell the app whether it is right, and where your gate really is if the pin is off. When the people who live there agree, the code is confirmed.

Your privacy

A home code describes a place, never the people in it. N-Ways stores no names with it, and it is not a land title.

Your gate deserves an address.

Open N-Ways at home, tap Get my code, and share it in one tap.
